Personally, my main grief is the boldface "proof of god" issue; i.e., there's no room in the world for ambiguity, atheists, or Lovecraft-style uncaring cosmology.
Yeah, I suppose the clerics are still taking it on faith. They have no proof their god is telling them the whole story. They just have evidence that something grants them power and requires they follow its edicts.
