We held HelgaCon X in Plymouth, MA this past weekend -- and it was probably my favorite one yet. Saw some stuff happen in games that I'd seriously never seen in my life before; amazing. Also: I finally broke my decades-long streak of train-wrecks and finally crafted one actually successful puzzle/riddle in a D&D game. So I'm psyched! Here's a few quick snaps of the activities:

Dang! I live right up the road. Do you guys have an email list or something I can get on so I hear about the next one?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately at the current time we've actually run out of space at the site we currently use. Maybe you can get down to Brooklyn and we'll make a game for you sometime. :-)
DeleteThe puzzle door was even better because I got to sing the solution. (I dunno if it was necessary to do so, but it was still better that way. :D)
ReplyDeleteOutdoor Spoliation just keeps getting better and better. It's the gaming equivalent of a Victory Lap for another successful Helgacon when it lands on a Sunday. :)
I am so delighted that you sang it. It was literally pitch-perfect. :-D
DeleteCongrats on such success! I hope we get a more detailed account of the glory at some point!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I may have to scrimp on the detailed reports this year due to time constraints (I only ran one game).
DeleteActually, executive summary for Outdoor Spoliation V (4 hr session) -- 2 castles subjugated, 3 dungeon complexes looted, 1 ancient puzzle solved, 1 dragon used for aerial commando raids, 1 pegasus captured, 2 PCs gone insane, 6 levels drained, 170,000 sp in treasure looted.
Where's the report? Please , you can't deprive me! I LIVE for the Helgacon posts!
ReplyDeleteAwright, I was planning on skipping that this year (time constraints), but there seems to be a general outcry for this. :-)
DeleteOutdoor Spoilation for the masses!
ReplyDeleteThis I love. :-)
