I think the tactical difference isn't great enough to to warrant a bunch of extra math mechanics at the table (or re-printing the rulebooks for the modified scale).

I think there's a lot of value in still leveraging the classic D&D 6/9/12" move categories (so we don't have to memorize something new). Even in rules-as-written Book of War I hand-waved the difference of the 1"=20' scale on that same issue.Deltahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00705402326320853684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2170237526012357403.post-47774602052130472362014-11-20T16:24:37.956-05:002014-11-20T16:24:37.956-05:00>

Since Book of War conventionally assume figures like 25/30mm (like those used in D&D or Warhammer), there was some advance discussion on whether the rules needed to change or not. My position was to say no; as long as everything is all scaled together (even approximately so), there really shouldn't be enough difference to worry about, or justify re-basing everything.

Delta, just for curiosity's sake, you felt that it was OK to have movement/range rates the same at that scale? Did it seem like the little figures were moving too far/fast or shooting too far?Michael S/Chgowizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02052820400496340137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2170237526012357403.post-25613837034556253722012-02-01T01:16:27.067-05:002012-02-01T01:16:27.067-05:00[Shakes fist] Peltaaaaaarrrrrr!!![Shakes fist] Peltaaaaaarrrrrr!!!Deltahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00705402326320853684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2170237526012357403.post-9320184089099271772012-01-31T13:03:15.239-05:002012-01-31T13:03:15.239-05:00It was a pleasure beating you at your own game. :-...It was a pleasure beating you at your own game. :-)

PS.
